About the Company
An AI-focused GovTech company building an operating system for government and regulated industries. Its platform uses a proprietary legal and regulatory database to help public-sector organizations draft regulations, automate permitting, and streamline operations, while enabling enterprises to navigate complex compliance requirements.
The company has secured significant venture backing and deployed its technology across multiple US state agencies. It is also expanding into AI-powered application development and document workflows.
The team operates in person in Austin, with plans to open an additional office in San Francisco for technical hires.
About the Role
The company is hiring full-stack engineers to build and ship AI-native products, with a particular focus on multi-agent orchestration.
This is not a conventional software engineering role focused on manually writing code. The team relies heavily on AI coding agents, and the key differentiator is the ability to use and orchestrate these tools to deliver software at exceptional speed.
The engineer will own systems involving LLMs, multi-agent coordination, complex reasoning, and production-grade workflows for government and legal applications.
The technical environment is TypeScript-heavy across the full stack, with AWS infrastructure. Strong Python and TypeScript skills are required, but practical AI-tooling fluency and the ability to ship reliable production systems are especially important.
Responsibilities
Architect and orchestrate multi-agent systems across the platform.
Design agent coordination patterns for complex legal reasoning and multi-step workflows.
Build reliable, auditable agent pipelines for government and legal use cases.
Develop and ship AI-agent systems into production.
Own full-stack engineering across TypeScript-based applications and AWS infrastructure.
Use AI coding agents extensively to accelerate development and delivery.
Contribute to product functionality and UI/UX where needed.
Requirements
Approximately 2–4 years of engineering experience, preferably at startups or high-caliber technical teams. More experienced candidates may be considered if they fit the profile.
Deep understanding of LLM capabilities, orchestration patterns, and multi-agent architectures.
Strong Python and TypeScript skills.
Demonstrated full-stack product development and production-shipping experience.
Strong systems-thinking ability.
Exceptional fluency with AI coding agents and AI-assisted development workflows.
High analytical ability and a higher-than-usual raw-intelligence bar.
US citizenship.
Based in Austin or willing to relocate immediately.
Available to start as soon as possible.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Former founders or founding engineers from successful early-stage startups, particularly YC companies.
Engineers from high-performing AI, legal-tech, GovTech, or defense-adjacent companies.
Early technical team members who helped build a company through significant growth.
Engineers with experience in advanced AI infrastructure or LLM-based products.
