About the Company
An early-stage AI infrastructure company building technology that helps AI agents and voice AI applications access information and generate responses with low latency.
Its products include retrieval infrastructure and inference technology designed for developers building real-time AI applications. The company has already attracted thousands of signups for a new product without targeted marketing campaigns and is now focused on scaling growth and generating qualified sales opportunities.
About the Role
The company is hiring its first dedicated Head of Marketing to own the marketing strategy, positioning, channels, and budget.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for turning early product traction into a predictable pipeline of qualified prospects. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution across product marketing, demand generation, launches, lifecycle marketing, and sales enablement.
Initially, you will operate as a standalone marketing function, with the opportunity to hire and build a team as the business grows.
Success will be measured primarily by qualified leads and pipeline contribution rather than vanity metrics such as impressions or email open rates.
Responsibilities
Own product positioning, messaging, website copy, launch materials, and pricing and packaging input.
Develop and execute demand generation strategies across content, SEO/AEO, paid campaigns, partnerships, events, and other relevant channels.
Generate qualified sales leads, optimise the marketing funnel, and track lead sources, conversion rates, and cost per qualified lead.
Manage product launches, website, newsletter, social media, events, hackathons, and developer community initiatives.
Create sales enablement materials, including case studies, benchmarks, sales decks, and competitive battlecards.
Build lifecycle and nurture campaigns that convert signups into activated users, sales-ready prospects, and paying customers.
Collaborate with the sales and product teams to improve lead qualification, customer activation, and conversion.
Manage the marketing budget, measure pipeline contribution, and prioritise activities based on business impact.
Establish scalable marketing processes and build the foundation for a future marketing team.
Requirements
5–8 years of marketing or growth experience, ideally at an early-stage startup with fewer than 50 employees.
Recent experience owning marketing or growth at a Seed- to Series A-stage company.
Proven track record of delivering measurable business impact through marketing initiatives.
Experience across both product-led growth (PLG) and sales-led marketing motions.
Ability to manage the full marketing function, including positioning, content, distribution, demand generation, and lifecycle campaigns.
Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as Attio, HubSpot, or Customer.io
Strong analytical skills and experience measuring pipeline contribution, conversion, and lead quality.
Excellent writing, messaging, and positioning skills.
Benefits
Competitive annual salary of $175,000–$250,000.
Competitive equity package.
Direct access to the CEO and significant decision-making autonomy.
Ownership of marketing strategy, channel selection, and budget from day one.
Existing newsletter, events, and customer case study initiatives to build upon.
Opportunity to hire and develop a marketing team as the business grows.
Opportunity to shape the go-to-market strategy for emerging AI infrastructure products.
